During design process, I have to make a lot of changes and choose colors, materials, furniture, lighting fixtures. That's why I use modeling and rendering software in order to get a fast 3D simulation of the project and test different patterns, forms, textures. When I work on  a complex model, I prefer testing on single elements for a better management of render time. After choosing the element that best suites my design, I put it into final scene and make a render to verify result.
For the restaurant I've been working lately (modeling and rendering), I had to provide to my client different solutions to choose from. It's like making a virtual catalog and in this post I want to make an example of this testing process I've created with Sketchup (models from the 3D Warehouse) and Kerkythea (animation created with Gimp).
